To configure modem-pooling equipment

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Configure your modem-pooling equipment to behave like one of the modem types listed in the Install New Modem wizard. (In other words, the modem-pooling equipment must generate and accept command strings as if it were a modem of the chosen type.) The switching equipment must also have the same RS-232 signal behavior as the specified modem.
3. Connect COM ports to the equipment and configure the ports for remote access in Routing and Remote Access.
